The Bow Trust (Durham) Limited is a registered charity (number 513865). It was established in 1975 to maintain the redundant church of St Mary-Le-Bow in Durham City as a centre for exhibitions and activities related to the history and antiquities of both the City and County Durham, and for other educational and cultural benefits. In pursuit of these aims, the Trust set up and runs Durham Museum which is based in the church.
